Kemo Coliseum Monthly Progress : November

It's time for Kemo Coliseum's November report!

Quick summary for people who are new here. We have a Weekly Progress report in the secret lab section of our forum. The monthly reports will be a summary of those weekly reports, excluding the exclusive stuffs.

Game Status

Programming

Health bar and skill data model are implemented just as planned! I was going to add skill window as well, but November was a really really busy month. Being sick for a week didn't help neither. Because of this, I couldn't finish the skill window part :-/

However, I did finish something else instead, namely the resource/mana collection part. Currently the game is looking like the screen below:

So most of the basic battle system is done! My December goal would be to finish basic skill implementation so we can finally test the actual battle!

Arts

CG Sketch

Got more sketches and clean up line arts from NG. We almost finish sketching all the erotic CGs in the game now, yay! It's really exciting to see how far we have come. I don't think the clean up process would take too long, since NG sketches are already pretty clean to begin with.

Here's a teaser of one of the pics we got from him this month!

Hmmm. Tanuki's man boobs <3

Interface Design
We came up with some designs for the skill window. The first version looks like this :

This mean you have to click on a skill button to show the list of all the skills. We thought it's a bit bothersome and it would be better if you have access to all the skills. So here's the second version.

The skills are conveniently accessible. Hover your mouse on the icon would show a tooltip with skill descriptions and its cost!

Others
We experimented with 3d graphics rendered from Terragen with the Photo Dramatica technique to see if it can create beautiful animation-liked background or not. The result wasn't what we was hoping for. It seems like it'll be good for natural scenery like grass field or forest though. It could be that we are still new to Terragen as well so we couldn't create exactly what we want.

Anyway, we'll keep it as an option for now. Background in the game would probably be a combination of retouch photos and drawn images.
